Welcome, I’m Shaunna Cline.

I use prescriptive play therapy, storytelling, games, art, and other experiential activities to promote self-discovery, social-emotional learning, and improved well-being. I have extensive experience working with special needs children and bedside counselling. Communication with parents and caregivers is vital. I collaborate with everyone involved to create a plan towards shared goals. Together, we can help the young person you care about navigate challenges and develop the skills needed to thrive.

 I’m a Therapotamus!

Unless someone cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.

About The Head Hippo

Shaunna Cline (MACP,CCC) is a dedicated counsellor with a heart full of empathy and a wealth of experience helping kids and young adults organize and negotiate the complexities of emotions and mental health.

With five amazing children of her own, Shaunna is no stranger to the ups and downs of parenting and capable of supporting others who share the same wild ride.

Shaunna writes children’s books for fun and loves playing with Lego, except the cleaning up part. She adores her dogs and enjoys walking with them while thinking about amusing and random things, just like her personal mascot, Tigger.

Some people have ADD, some ADHD… I have ADOLAS: Attention deficit…. oh look! A squirrel!
